
Halifax RLFC are proud of the associations held with the local and national development of Wheelchair Rugby League.
This ever growing sport is played by people of all ages, gender and ability (both with and without disabilities) and has shown to be a tough and exhilarating spectacle.
Halifax RLFC Wheelchair Tag have regular events and training sessions in the local area, and will often team up with local organisations such as the West Yorkshire Police.

Inaugural Tournament
The newly formed Halifax Wheelchair Tag RLFC entered its first tournament held at Robin Park Arena, Wigan at the weekend.
Halifax won all four tournament games against Bury 12-6. Bradford Bulls 18-0 and in a pulsating final game to decide the winners, against Wigan, 13-6. The game was 6-6 all for the last 10 mins, with Harry Brown dropping a goal with 2 mins to go, then in the last second Andy Wharton squeezed in at the corner for a try goaled from the touchline by Brown which confirmed the win.
On the 27th November, a Wheelchair Challenge Game at North Bridge Leisure Centre took place
The day was run by the CCCT and sponsored by the West Yorkshire Police and their community grants programme.
The Event was open to all and was attended by some Halifax Stars fresh from their pre-season training
The event ran from 6-8pm, and was enjoyed by many local Wheelchair players.
A huge thanks go out to all the participants and to the West Yorkshire Police for getting involved in such a great event
Halifax RLFC Wheelchair TAG have secured £8,608 funding through the small grants funding pot to develop the sport in Calderdale.
Now the group is able to purchase the necessary but expensive sports chairs to augment the funding supplied by West Yorkshire Police who are funding venue hire.

August 15th 9am till 2pm Festival of W/c RL teams including Hx.

The first ever Wheelchair Rugby League European League started in June and it will be Halifax's turn to host the Catalan Dragons side from South of France.
Catalans opened their fixtures with a win against Wigan whilst Halifax were victorious against Bury in June. At North Bridge Leisure Centre this Sunday the 11th July KO 9.45am........ the 80 minutes Wheelchair version of Tag Rugby League take first stage in a 5 hour festival.
11.30am will see sports chairs available and coaching for first timers and 'try it sessions'. The sport is totally inclusive with a mixture of genders, ages, disabled and non disabled.
